From The Lecturer's Desk
From the Lecturer’s Desk: Award Winning Lecturers

By David Roberts, CT State Grange Lecturer

  NOVEMBER 1, 2025 --

As the leaves turn and the days grow shorter, we mark the close of another fulfilling Grange year and eagerly step into the new one. I am continually inspired by the strength and spirit of our members, and this past year was no exception.

We recently concluded our Connecticut State Grange Annual Convention in Norwich, where I had the honor and privilege to once again chair the Lecturer’s Appreciation Banquet and Awards Ceremony—a heartfelt evening celebrating creativity, commitment, and community across our Granges. Each year, the Lecturer’s Appreciation  Banquet  gives us an opportunity to recognize individuals who have gone above and beyond in supporting the Lecturer’s Department—those who bring programs to life, nurture community connections, and embody the heart of our Grange mission.

It is with particular pride that I highlight this year’s Honor Lecturer’s Appreciation Award recipients—two individuals who exemplify excellence in leadership and  innovation  within  their Granges.

To all our honorees: thank you for your service, your creativity, and your unwavering support of the Lecturer’s Department. You make our Grange stronger, more connected, and more vibrant.

As we enter the 2025–2026 Grange  year,  I  look  forward to building on the energy and achievements of this past year. May we continue to inspire one another, celebrate the richness of our Grange heritage, and create new opportunities for growth and connection in every corner of Connecticut.
